Tithe.ly, a Nashville-based startup that allows people to give or tithe to their church just raised $15.2M Series F at a $129M valuation. Barn Sweetman, cofounder, said that the money will be used in a variety of ways including hiring, small company acquisitions, and building out new products.
“We’re about to release an SMS communications / marketing tool for churches, and potentially move into building simple websites for churches as well (we currently do custom apps for them as a product),” Barn wrote in a message to Southern/alpha earlier today.
Tithe.ly also plans to hire 25-30 engineers this year, working in PHP and .NET.
The team is currently at around 70 employees, and serves around 10,000 churches/organizations as customers of the platform.
